I was living in Boston the early 70s when the northeast was hit by gas lines and huge hikes in heating fuel prices. It was amazing how well we coped. We really began changing our consumption habits permanently back then. I thought we'd seen the end of gas guzzlers and big ugly houses. Boy, was I wrong! Another informative, if alarming post.
