He was questioned on the now old allegations regarding his receiving oil money from Saddam which was allegedly siphoned (sorry about the pun) through a so-called front company set up by Galloway to help vicitms of leukemia in Iraq. To roughly quote Galloway he said: "If I had earnt millions of pounds of oil money you would know about it and the man who gave me that money would be standing in front of the cameras". He also added that "I would be a very rich man today if I had received such monies and clearly I am not". My quotations are from memory and I apologise if my wording is not accurate. However, Galloway makes a very interesting point about these allegations, namely, that they are completely unsubstantiated. There is no evidence only allegation.
