Friday garden blogging
Garden & nature photo feature returns, this year as “Friday garden blogging”

Lycopersicon esculenta ‘Brandywine’, Lycopersicon esculenta ‘Glacier’, and Pisum sativum ‘Sugar Snap’ ready for planting

Allium sativum: The garlic bed, up six weeks now, is very healthy

I think this is an example of forest tent caterpillar (photo taken at Veazie Salmon Club), but note the odd location of the nest, not over leaves

HI Deep
A friend of mine heard on the Swedsih news yesterday that Sweden actually has military bases in Uzbekistan. In additon, Sweden has close trade relations with Uzbekistan laced, of course, with the usual “concerns” for human rights issues. I will try to scribble something on this if you’re interested. The plot appears to be thickening.

I’m glad to see that Friday garden blogging has returned. Just because the weather hasn’t been all that great for much of the country is no reason not to celebrate the natural beauty that surrounds us.
Good luck with those tomatoes and garlic… plant some cilantro and you’ll have the makings for some terrific salsa!
