Oil readings

Recommended posts on oil, energy, and Ahmed Chalabi

Please see this Kos Diary by Jerome a Paris that has includes a critique of the Energy Bill and the recent oil survey from The Economist. It’s worth clicking for the photo alone. Be sure to browse the lively discussion in the comments too. For anyone wondering if abiotic oil means oil is forever, two articles at this reference should put those those thoughts to rest.

From there I found a link to the Billmon Whiskey Bar comment site called Moon of Alabama. It has this brilliant item amplifying a recent Deep Blade post concerning former(?) Pentagon operative and new Iraqi oil minister Ahmed Chalabi.

Jerome a Paris Kos diary postings on The Economist oil issue. These are direct links to each of the three parts:
The Economist on oil (III) - slamming the energy bill
The Economist on oil (II) - rosy corporate view of peak oil
Shrinking BigOil - The Economist on oil (I) - the smart stuff

There’s a fascinating article, ‘Is ‘Peak Oil’ A Scam? Oil Fields Are Re-Filling Naturally And Rapidly’, on the ‘Current News You Need To Know’ page at SurvivalistSkills.Com.

    Makes for interesting reading!

So-called “abiotic oil” may exist (the reactions claimed might be energetically possible), but the production rate claimed is not plausible. Please check out the reference in the post for extensive, well-supported arguments refuting abiotic oil as a significant source.
