I must thank Rudi and DeepBlade for their comments. It gladdens me that people are aking these salient questions because it is vitally important, in our meta-historical culture, that we understand the causes of events such as 9/11, 7/7, and what preceded these.

No one is saying they have a right to kill. But hasn't the US claimed precisely that right for itself in Muslim lands and elsewhere?

History did not begin on 911. US-sponsored brutality has been pervasive in many parts of the world for decades. I have cited US support for brutal hereditary monarchies in the Middle East, support of the Reagan and GHW Bush administrations for Saddam Hussein during his worst atrocities, US-insisted-upon devastation of Iraq during the 12-year period of economic sanctions, US occupation strategies in Afghanistan, Iraq, and support thereof through Israel in Palestine (all these including much deadly aerial bombardment). This makes an impression on those in the region upon whose throats the boot is thrust.

Unfortunately some will take terribly violent actions in response. We can all agree that their perceptions about the true, total picture of the US are messed up and the violent response is criminal. No one I know thinks 911 or any other terrorist attack was ``justified''. To understand is not to justify.

"THE US-RUN TERROR WAR IS EXTREMELY VIOLENT ITSELF, SO IT BREEDS TERRORISM".

If that statement is THE point, than please explain how it is that we and the rest of the world had terror attacks long before 9/11 and before we went to war?

These extremists don't like our politics? That gives them the right to kill? I don't particularly like our politics either, does that mean I have the right to kill the policy makers?

It's inevitable (law of averages and all) that we will get an idiot in the White House mainly due to the gullibility of the General Dumb Public, but in this case we really picked a loser. Twice! Guess that will happen when the GDP votes for the party instead of for the individual.
