		<description>Christmas is almost among us here in Sweden. The snow has settled and the "levande ljus" or candles and Christmas lights are adroning the front doors of many a household. We are truly blessed to be able to practise this ritual event, Christmas, without a fear of retribution or extrinsic imposition. Let us pray, then, for our brothers and sisters in Iraq (and elsewhere) who deserve a better life; le us pray for our brothers and sisters in New Orleans and the returnees; give them hope and nourishment and love. 		<description>i don't think you have any idea just how great this is for someone who is homesick.  seriously-- as much as i read this for the analysis all week (so intently that i forget the friday pics until they come again) these friday pictures are one of my favorite things on the whole internet.  it is a deeply appreciated connection to home.
