The snow has settled and the "levande ljus" or candles and Christmas lights are adroning the front doors of many a household. We are truly blessed to be able to practise this ritual event, Christmas, without a fear of retribution or extrinsic imposition. Let us pray, then, for our brothers and sisters in Iraq (and elsewhere) who deserve a better life; le us pray for our brothers and sisters in New Orleans and the returnees; give them hope and nourishment and love.
